Cloudflare Magic Transit
The highlight of Serververse Shield. Cloudflare Magic Transit advertises your prefixes over BGP into Cloudflare’s global network — volumetric and protocol floods are scrubbed worldwide before clean traffic returns to Serververse. This is what most operators search for when they want DDoS protected VPS with real L3/L4 coverage.
OVH VAC + Edge Firewall
Layer one at the OVH network edge. VAC and Edge Network Firewall discard unwanted traffic as early as possible — network-level DDoS mitigation, stateless filtering and early rejection before the next hop.
Serververse in-house filtering
Final layer on the Serververse network: ACLs, prefix and port rules, rate limits, telemetry and custom mitigation policies tailored to your workload — game, VPS, web or API.
How Shield works
Progressive filtering: attack traffic must clear every layer before it reaches origin. Full architecture lives in the Shield docs.
1. OVH VAC + Edge Firewall
Inbound traffic hits the OVH network edge first. VAC and the Edge Network Firewall apply early DDoS mitigation and firewall policies so volumetric noise is dropped before it consumes downstream capacity.
2. Cloudflare Magic Transit
Traffic that passes OVH enters Cloudflare Magic Transit — globally distributed DDoS mitigation, advanced TCP protection and network firewall policies across Cloudflare’s network. Clean packets are returned toward Serververse. This is the layer most people mean when they search Cloudflare Magic Transit or DDoS protected VPS.
3. Serververse in-house filtering
The final boundary before origin: ACLs, port and protocol rules, rate limiting, telemetry and custom mitigation owned by Serververse. Passing an upstream scrubber does not make traffic trusted — Shield still filters one more time.
